Career prospects

The current economic development in Vietnam sees the emergence of many multinational companies and corporations. The legal corridor and issues related to economic policies need to be secured more than ever. Thus, the Economic Law sector becomes indispensable in modern society.

According to the Ministry of Justice, from now until 2020, Vietnam will need about 13,000 legal personnel, 2,000 notaries, 3,000 enforcement officers, etc. These figures will continue to increase. Therefore, Economic Law is classified as one of the “hot” sectors nationwide

Graduates from Yersin University’s Economic Law sector can work in positions such as:

  • Group 1: Opportunities to work in legal practice organizations, businesses, as lawyers, consultants in law firms, notary offices, domestically and internationally; legal specialists, legal consultants in companies requiring specialized personnel in the legal field; legal assistants for business executives.
  • Group 2: Work in state agencies, including judiciary agencies such as courts, public prosecutors’ offices, enforcement agencies, investigative agencies, and other state agencies from central to local levels; work in party organizations and other socio-political organizations.
  • Group 3: Work in non-governmental organizations, inter-governmental organizations, or other international organizations.
  • Group 4: Teaching and researching at research institutions or law training institutions, colleges, and intermediate schools.
  • Group 5: Engage in business activities, economic management independently, as business owners or startup project participants.

  • The Economic Law program is designed for undergraduate students, with a total of 131 credits throughout the program, completed in 3 years over 9 semesters.
  • The program is organized into three knowledge blocks: general, foundational for the field, and specialized knowledge. It aims to train students with in-depth knowledge of economic and commercial laws.
  • After completing the program, students can apply the learned knowledge to develop their careers, equipped with the necessary skills and the right attitude to contribute to the development of society.
