In recent years, the automotive industry has been a key sector prioritized by the government in industrialization strategies. According to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1211/QD-TTg on the development plan for Vietnam’s automotive industry until 2020 with a vision to 2030, the goal is to develop the industry into a significant economic sector, meeting domestic demand while integrating into the global supply chain for automotive parts and components.
Projections indicate that by 2030, Vietnam will have between 466,000 and 863,000 new automobiles entering the market, and by 2020, the number of motorbikes will reach approximately 36 million.
