On October 1, 2026, Yersin University of Da Lat (YersinUni), a member of TTC Group, held its Opening Ceremony for the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year, coinciding with the 22nd anniversary of the University (October 1, 2004 – October 1, 2026).

During this 2025 – 2026 academic year, the University’s leadership, academic staff, and employees showed their unwavering dedication through remarkable accomplishments across various areas:
- Student admission: The University achieved 114% of its student admission target. The continued development in the quality and number of enrolled students indicates an improvement in the university’s overall educational quality.
- Student care: YersinUni provided training in 12 essential soft skills, focusing on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 4Cs of Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving. 214 students were also awarded scholarships and financial support, totalling 2 billion VND. These initiatives contributed to a 1-percentage-point reduction in the student dropout rate compared with the previous academic year.
- Education and Training: YersinUni continued offering “Enterprise Semester” programme across all disciplines to bridge education and the real world of work, training in the English language with alignments with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and providing opportunities for “Overseas Semester” in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries. Notably, students undertaking an internship in Singapore and Japan earn up to 200 million VND. These substantial developments led to significant outcomes, including 96.5% of students securing employment, 86.6% finding jobs related to their fields of study, and the University’s commitment to job placement assistance for 100% of graduates.
- Quality assurance: YersinUni successfully completed external evaluation and was officially accredited under the second accreditation cycle of 2025 – 2030 in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Scientific Research: Research performance exceeded the targets across all indicators, raising the publications per lecturer rate to meet ministerial requirements. Numerous research projects and innovative ideas were registered, while international publications increased substantially. Notably, YersinUni successfully delivered 2.1 million MD2 pineapple seeds to partners and local farmers.
- External Relations and Partnerships: The University has established partnerships with 350 domestic and international partners to support student internships, exchange programmes and academic staff exchanges.
- Community Engagement: YersinUni organised 20 community outreach and service initiatives, totalling 214.8 million VND.
- Human Resource Development: The University continued to strengthen its academic staff, particularly through a financial assistance policy that offers loans to lecturers pursuing doctoral studies. The income level of all employees continued to improve
- Significant investments had been made in modern facilities and teaching equipment. The completion and commissioning of new Buildings A and B further strengthened YersinUni’s infrastructure and capacity to enhance the quality of education.
- The University’s Party Committee prioritised political and ideological education among its Party members, which was recognised for Outstanding Performance in 2025.
- The University have garnered outstanding accomplishments from staff, lecturers and students for the 2025 – 2026 academic year. The University was conferred the Third-Class Labour Order by the President of Vietnam. YersinUni’s students won Second Prize at the national “New Generation Student 2025” competition, organised by the MOET and Vietnam Television (VTV); First Prize at the Euréka Scientific Research Competition; a bronze medal at the 2025 National Student Basketball Championship (Central Region; and one Second Prize and three Consolation Prizes at the 2025 TechFest Competition, organised by the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee.


Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Dinh Trung, Rector of Yersin University of Da Lat, reflected on a remarkable journey: “The past 22 years have been marked by historical milestones by generations of staff, lecturers, and students. On this occasion of the opening of the new academic year and the University’s 22nd anniversary, I would like, on behalf of generations of our staff, lecturers, employees, and students, to express our heartfelt gratitude to the University’s founders and to all the dedicated educators and staff who have contributed throughout its history. We would also like to affirm our strong determination to develop the University into an institution that nurtures high-quality human resources capable of integrating into the evolving national and global landscape.”

Mr Nguyen Minh, a member of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee, also addressed the ceremony, extending his congratulations and acknowledging the University’s contributions during its 22 years of establishment and development: “Throughout its development, Yersin University of Da Lat has reinforced its reputation as a trusted higher education institution in Lam Dong Province and the Central Highlands. The University has not only expanded access to higher education but also contributed meaningfully to developing highly qualified human resources for the socioeconomic improvement of the province and the nation. As a private university based in the Central Highlands, Yersin University of Da Lat has continuously pursued innovation, enhanced the quality of education and scientific research, and expanded its outreach and partnerships with businesses and the wider community. These efforts helped foster healthy competition among institutions in the region, providing students with greater opportunities for learning, growth, and development.”
During the ceremony, the University presented awards to outstanding departments and individuals for their exceptional achievements for the 2025 – 2026 academic year and honoured them for their significant contributions to the University’s development. One lecturer was presented with the prestigious Creative Labour Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.



For the 2026 – 2027 academic year, YersinUni welcomed around 1,200 new undergraduates, bringing the total number of students enrolled in the university to more than 5,000. To commemorate this occasion, the University awarded 580 scholarships worth nearly 3 billion VND from the generous sponsorship of TTC Group’s member companies and external partners such as the French non-governmental organisation L’Appel, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Thanh Quang Co. Ltd., and Mai Loan Tailoring.







One of the highlights of the ceremony was the Yersin Uni’s tradition of flag handover. During this symbolic moment, senior students pass down the University’s cherished virtues to incoming freshmen: A thirst for knowledge, creativity, dynamism and courage to be unique.
The mission for Yersin University of Da Lat in this 2026 – 2027 academic year remains steadfast in achieving all objectives outlined in its 2025 – 2030 Development Strategy. At the same time, YersinUni strives to become an ideal learning environment for students and an inspiring working environment for all academic and administrative staff. All of this is to develop the University into a highly qualified hub for human resources training for the Central Highlands, specifically, and Vietnam as a whole, advancing towards international educational standards and empowering its students to become “Global Citizens” of tomorrow.
